| Great Northern Docks has several pre-built dock sizes available, or you can find free plans here on our website to build your own. The LITE-Rite style of construction allows you to remove decking during installation, lightening the load when you need to carry your dock sections in and out. We offer complete hardware systems for floating or stationary dock systems. We make hardware for building docks on pipe legs or on 4x4 post legs. We also offer rotation molded polyethylene floatation drums. These attach to a wood frame easily with lag screws. Difficulty level for a completely constructed wood system would be high for the typical homeowner, but moderate for a person with carpentry skills. The Dura-LITE aluminum frame docks all feature removable decking, making the transportation of the docks to and from the water much easier. Dura-Lite docks have an easy connection system, and are the perfect system for the weekend warrior who wants a solid dock system without the weight of traditional wood systems. The difficulty level for a typical homeowner would be moderate, but a builder would find this installation very easy. The Feather-LITE aluminum frame docks are a quick and easy stationary dock system to install. The decking is so light you do not need to remove it. The standard 4’x10’ dock sections break down in halves for shipment on a pallet or loading into an SUV. The Feather-LITEs also share the Dura-LITE’s easy connection system. This is the easiest of our systems to install. If you can assemble a child’s play set, you can install this dock. |
