Braided with 5/8" Premium Twisted Nylon Rope.

Use two 3/8" shackles to connect one pennant end to the clip and the other end to the swivel under the mooring ball. A swivel is needed to keep your pennant from untwisting as your boat rotates. A swivel also keeps the anchor chain from twisting and becoming shorter. If chain is too short, the anchor will move with wind or current. More length on the anchor chain will prevent anchor movement. Some mooring balls have an internal swivel, however, constant use of it can damage the ball. We suggest you connect an additional swivel under the mooring ball, then attach the pennant to the top half of this swivel.
